Accessibility Statement

Kleiner Landwirt UG (haftungsbeschränkt) strives to make its website kleinerlandwirt.de accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the associated ordinance (BFSGV). The applicable requirements of the BFSGV, European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), conformance level AA, are used as a benchmark.

1. General description of the service

Kleiner Landwirt is an online marketplace for dated farm experiences, events and educational programmes. Farm operators publish their offers; families, individuals, schools, day-care centres and companies can search and compare them and, depending on the type of offer, book directly or submit a binding request. The respective farm remains the provider and contracting party.

2. Use and operation

Users can find offers through search and filters, read details and available dates, enter participant and contact information and submit a booking. Depending on the offer, online payment, payment by invoice or payment on site may be available. Booking confirmations and management links support subsequent processing; contact, complaint, notice and withdrawal routes are available through the website.

3. How accessibility requirements are addressed

The current public area uses, in particular:

  • semantic headings and landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, plus a skip link to the main content,
  • keyboard operation, visible focus indicators and focus management in dialogs,
  • labelled controls and form fields with associated instructions, errors and status messages,
  • alternative text for editorial images and identification of purely decorative graphics where provided by us,
  • sufficient colour contrast in the reviewed public area and support for the system preference for reduced motion.

These measures describe the current public service. The more complex operator, institution and sponsor dashboards do not yet reach the same level in every view and are being improved progressively.

4. Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements mentioned above. This assessment is based on a self-evaluation; it is not a promise that every page, dialog or document can be used accessibly with every assistive technology.

We are continuously working to remove remaining barriers and regularly review the website for accessibility.

5. Non-accessible or partially accessible content

The following limitations are currently known to us:

  • Individual secondary texts and status displays (e.g. rating stars, placeholder texts) do not yet always reach the required contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (WCAG 1.4.3).
  • Individual complex views – such as the calendar view in the operator area – are not yet fully comfortable to use with assistive technologies.
  • Photos uploaded by farms do not always have meaningful image descriptions.
  • PDF documents provided by email (e.g. invoices and receipts) are not yet consistently prepared as accessible PDFs.

6. Feedback and contact – reporting barriers
